Business Development Manager

The Business Development Manager will manage the administrative, sales, marketing and business development activities (e.g. data collection, research, preparation of presentations, delivery of client materials, meetings, data input and fielding calls etc.) for Quantability Inc. The Business Development Manager will work directly with vendors and clients ensuring the successful execution of their projects. Furthermore, the Business Development Manager will manage, plan and execute, marketing campaigns, recommend appropriate sales and marketing channels and guide the research and analysis for new and existing clients.


  • Generating new business and establishing long-term relationships:
    • Finding new vendors to deepen scope of company capabilities/offers
    • Prospecting new clients in different verticals and countries
    • Growing and retaining existing client accounts
    • Attending conferences and networking events, and staying up to date on industry trends (locally and internationally)
  • Communicate with new and existing clients to understand and document their business objectives and growth
    • Develop research proposals and guide clients’ market research activities
    • Build, manage, and maintain project budgets (and profit margins)
    • Add consumer insights to the client’s business
  • Have an in-depth knowledge of Quantability’s business products and value proposition
  • Analyze customer data to identify strengths, pain points and identify strategic and tactical actions for their business
  • Interpreting data, writing reports and marketing plans, and making actionable recommendations


  • A minimum of 3 to 5 years within the market research industry a must
  • Confident, self-starter with ability to motivate a team
  • Experience with the design and implementation of business development strategy:
    • Reporting on successes and areas needing improvement
  • Able to identify rising business opportunities and viable income streams
  • Academic and/or practical experience with a wide array of new product, brand, advertising and customer satisfaction research methodologies
  • Exceptional written and oral communication abilities:
    • Stakeholder management skills
    • Proven ability to negotiate
    • Conflict resolution skills
  • Strong analytic skills
  • Strong presentation skills
  • Proficient with Excel and PowerPoint
  • Ability to interpret large amounts of data
  • Strong critical thinking
  • Research design and questionnaire writing is an asset
